About Brazing Materials
Brazing is the process of joining two metals by deploying a filler metal (a brazing alloy). In the brazing process, the filler metal is heated slightly above its melting point and allowed to flow through capillary action in between the two base metals that require joining. This process is normally undertaken by using a controlled atmosphere called the flux. The flux is used to prevent, dissolve, or remove oxides, which are formed during the brazing process. Brazing is similar to soldering except that the melting point of the filler metal used in brazing is above 450 degrees centigrade, while the melting point of that used in soldering is below 450 degrees centigrade.
TechNavio's analysts forecast the Global Brazing Materials market to grow at a CAGR of 3.15 percent over the period 2013-2018.
